We are looking for a professional technical consultant with at least three years' experience supporting enterprise backup and disaster recovery environments. We are a customer service organization first and foremost; the successful applicant must possess excellent communication skills, be focused on customer service, and committed to relationship building and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ability to identify and solve complex technical issues is a requirement for this position, but equal emphasis is placed on the design, implementation, maintenance, and documentation skills that ensure a stable environment and deliver a smooth transition to NOC, helpdesk, and customer resources.
Position Requirements:
- 3 years verifiable experience with enterprise backup products (NetBackup, NetVault, E-Vault, or preferably CommVault)
- Experience with backup hardware (Disk-based, tape-based, drives, libraries, changers)
- Experience with SCSI, Fibre Channel, SAS, and iSCSI protocols
- Experience with Linux, VMware, Windows, UNIX
- Experience with VMware VCB and VMWare Data Recovery Backup Methodologies
- Experience with TCP/IP Networking, DNS
- Understanding of Disaster Recovery Scenarios and Planning
- Strong organizational, documentation, and customer service skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Entry-level NOC Technician (NW Austin - Close to the 360 Bridge)
We are looking for entry-level technical support specialists to field customer support requests in our 24-hour datacenter in the Austin area.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally with customers via e-mail and phone
- Coordinate resources to troubleshoot support issues
- Manage support cases from beginning to end
- Document solutions
- Other duties as assigned
- Availability during night shifts and weekends
- Must be able to utilize dependable transportation to and from the 360 bridge area of Northwest Austin
Candidate Requirements
- Available to work shifts on a 24-hour schedule
- Ability to communicate professionally to customers and management both in verbal and written forms
- Ability to multitask, organize and keep a professional attitude
- Ability to follow processes and procedures
Technical Requirements
- 1-3 years customer service experience with a background in a variety of networking, hardware, operating system, and software systems
- Experience with typical support center processes, software, and procedures
- Experience with Windows Active Directory a plus
